The Lone Hunter Part 2
The Lone Hunter: Part 2
Ari popped out of lightspeed just outside the outermost gas giant of the Ulise System a worm hole spitting their ship out just before closing. Ari grabbed the controls of the ship and piloted it at sublight speed through the system, passing moons and gas giants as well as two uninhabitable planetoids. Ahead of the ship sat the fifth moon of the planet of Ulise II, a moon known as Neorg, an oceanic world that is avoided due to is hostile weather conditions and lack of dry land. Ari steers the ship into the atmosphere and through the storm clouds down towards the surface, a beeping noise, that of a homing beacon begins going off as Ari approaches the seas, as if trying to locate something. Ari steers closer and closer to the surface flying across the ocean, its harsh waves nearly touching the ship as the beeping grows faster and louder, in moments the beeping stops as a large submarine platform bursts from the water, a massive hanger beneath it. Ari lands the Ship in the hanger with ease, just before it’s doors seal and the hanger resubmerges deep under the surface concealing its location from any who could’ve followed Ari to this planet.
Ari exits the ship and marches towards the doors at the opposite end of the hanger, where two large male fish faced tentacle bearded aliens, known as Aquarian’s, dressed in ceremonial Aquarian guard armor, equipped with personal aqua-respirizers on their necks just above their gils, allowing them to breathe with ease in the oxygen rich environment. Ari passes the guards through the doors and is escorted down the hall through a white walled tube that leads to an airlock, one of the Aquarian guards unlocks the airlock with a key combination revealing a submarine vehicle is on the opposing side. Two more aquarians in Pilot uniforms await them there, as they arrive the two rush to the cockpit and start it, the guards and Ari take their seats in the passenger hold, as the submarine un-docks from the hanger and speeds underwater through the oceans. Ari waits for an hour before they felt the submarine dock with another air lock.
As the airlock door opened and more Aquarian Guards entered the passenger are of the sub and escorted Ari through the sub into another facility, that was just as the last one was underwater, but much larger and surrounded by what appeared to be a lush city made of coral towers, where the Aquarian’s live in peace. Ari is escorted through the tube shaped structure towards the main central hub where shield doors, allowed the aquarians to pass through them into the structure, drying them off without leaving water behind. The Aquarians entering putting their personal vaporators on before entering. Ari approaches a heavily guarded door at the main hubs opposing end, its doors unlocking after another guard typed in the key code. Ari enters into another tube this one much longer and wider requiring a cargo hovertrain system with four tracks running though it to reach the opposite side. Ari is lead onto the nearest train followed by the two guards who met them at the hanger. The Train immediately lifts off illuminating the laser track beneath it allowing them to travel through the tunnels ahead and through blast doors into the most secure part of this city, the doors sealing behind them as they pass between towers between a superhighway running vertical to them on both sides where submarine vehicles pass through the depths at ease around them. They soon pass into the largest tower at the cities center, where the train docks with the station.
Ari is escorted off the train and passes through another set of security doors into an airlock. Ari looks at the guards “does your helmet filter water into oxygen and withstand high amounts of pressure?” asks one of the guards. “It does, it’ll adjust with the circumstance” states Ari. The guard nods to the other whom opens the air lock into a fully underwater room, where the Aquarians can move without the need for their vaporators keeping them on their belts instead. The Aquarians in this tower were much more lavishly dressed, more regal in golds and pinks and blues. Just as Ari started their suit switched to aquatic mode the moment they entered the submerged room, their boots releasing two flippers at their feet as well as revealing a fan to help them move through the water at the boots bottom. Ari is lead through the submerged tower towards an elevator at the rooms left, they all enter the elevator, as the guards press a button causing the doors to seal and elevator to drop down into the subterranean levels.
The door reopens into a large club where the regally dressed Aquarians imbibe in spice and liquors by means of powders. Ari follows the guard through the room of Aquarians to a back door into a supply room and from the supply room to an airlock. The two guard enter the airlock with Ari slipping on their vaporators as the airlock filters out the water and Ari’s suit reverts back to normal as the airlock filters out the water and the door on the other side opens revealing a hallway filled with guards representing the different Syndicates of the galaxy. There were Pugs dressed in aquatic suits that dawned the colors of gold and orange, that representing the Jimbas, there were also Velkiens, their green scaly skin and bulbous black reptilian eyes in The knightly armor of the guards of the Twenty Moons Syndicate, not needing to change much as they were one of the few amphibious species in the galaxy capable of also breathing in salt water, then there were also a group of sandskinned Yuki, a species that’s faces always appeared wrinkled with cranial horns that protruded like hair from their chins and head tops, who were also wearing aquatic armor with the colors of purple and Yellow on it signifying their allegiance to Bendarx Cartel.
The Jimbas, The Twenty Moons and Bendarx Cartel were the three largest crime families in the galaxy and it was a rarity when the three would ever have a sit down, even on a neutral world such as Neorg. The Jimbas were both the heads of the Smugglers guild and had control over most spice mines in the galaxy, The Twenty Moons, dealt mostly in illegal weapons trade and in extortion, and Bendarx Cartel had control of the black markets on countless systems, control of the slave trade industry, as well as their own footholds in the Smugglers guild, spice running and mining industry, weapons trade, extortion as well as countless other schemes of corruption across the galaxy. These three have been in competition for years, Ari had even done jobs for each one of the heads of these organization to eliminate their rivals business heads on other worlds, why would all three of them choose to be in the same place at the same time now? Ari thought.
Ari entered a large chamber with a window staring out into the deep, three figures whom Ari recognized as the heads of the Organizations sat at the round table at the rooms center. On the left side when ari entered was Magister Kept, he was a sleek bodied Siliax, a species that specializes in adapting to their surroundings allowing them survive in the harshest of environments, she was leader of the Jimbas. At the Center was the rather Small Belgano, a slug like alien species that with age grew to astronomical heights, Punti Bendarx who of course was the head of the Bendarx Cartel. The final one was Masau Fang who like his brethren was a Velkien, his gold and red robes differentiating him from his kin as leader of the Twenty moons, as a slime ridden foo manchu ran down under his nose and a pony tail was grown atop his balding head, his reptilian eye like daggers, with their peaks of gold and red jewlery. A seat is left open for Ari at the table, Ari takes it as the Guards are asked to leave. “ I assume you already know why we have asked you here, Great Ari, first League champion hunter?” asks Masau in a curious tone. “ I assumed it was a bounty, seeing as how all three of you know i don’t do mercenary work” states Ari. Punti lets out a series of Grumbles, beltches and tones that appear to be his language. “ The Tenth Star Nebula?” asks Ari understanding the Belgano due to their helmets translation system. “Indeed, we understand that it is a dangerous place to journey to Fuijoi, but Mozar Kanine, is now a threat to us” states Magister Kept. “ and you are certain he is on Fuijoi?” asks Ari. Punti lets out a series of Barks and Beltches and Ari looks at it. “Fuijoi is deep in United Systems Space, far outside of the neutral space that i tend to stick by, it’ll cost all three of you more than triple your rate, Mozar is a shadow, and undoubtedly the most powerful Crime Lord outside of any of your own factions who exists” states Ari. “He is no longer a shadow, Griza the Nefarious one of his top lieutenants has been acting as a confidant for our alliance, she has agreed to keep close to Mozar until he is eliminated” expresses Fang further implicating their intentions. “ So you’d prefer him dead, rather than alive?” asks Ari. “Alive he still poses a threat to us” states Kept. Punti Groans in rhythm. “If killed, he poses less of a threat and the three of us can move onto a new more healthy partnership without the constant interference of The Tenth Star Nebula and their syndicates constant interruptions” expresses Kept. “if i’m going after him, i will require an insurance of funds” explains Ari. The three crime lords nod. “Due to your constant aide in our businesses, we will dispatch four million each as an opening price, this shall be transferred to your account prior to you returning to your ship.” states Kept, the other two agreeing with him. “Alright, looks like i’m off to Fuijoi” Ari extends their data chord to a small box at tables center downloading the bounty, establishing the proof of employment by the three crime families, before exiting the room and starting back to their ship. Ari was once again escorted back the way that they approached the meeting chambers, and soon reached their modified W Class I17 Light Cruiser and boarded it. Ari however scanned the frequencies of The Hunters Guild before take off and found that multiple bounties had already been posted on Mozar Kanine,Ari instantly downloaded all these postings to hide the fact that the other crime lords were part of this in the event things went south and then proceeded to the cockpit.
As the Hanger emerged from the water and its doors opened Ari, launched back into space, checking the fuel gage and activating the power to fuel converter before activating the ships solar panels and gas mining features. Ari exited into the atmosphere and scanned for a gas world made of Hanperon, a fuel that was in a gaseous form that could be converted into fuel for ammunition and Starships. Finding one Ari steers the ship to the seventh planetary body of theUlise System another Gas Giant and steers into the atmosphere, collecting the gas with the ships mining feature and then using the solar power from Ulise’s blue star to power the ships fuel. In moments the fuel is returned to 100% and Ari deactivates the mining and the conversion methods exiting the Seventh planetary body and towards the edge of the system, Where Ari activated the Wormhole generator and jumped to lightspeed.
The moment Ari’s ship jumped to lightspeed, Ari lowered the cockpit back into the ship, and started towards the ship’s cargo hold that had been retrofitted into an armory. Ari approaches a large Wardrobe type structure and opens it, a large Pod capable of holding a single individual sits inside it. Ari takes a step into the pod as two mechanical claws grip the back of Ari’s helmet, locking Ari in place as a long syringe with a long needle like tip plunges into the back of Ari’s neck, locking in place, a shield raises around the pod, as the machine scans their body.A hologram soon emerges revealing a full biometric scan including limited details into Ari’s biology. Four more syringes poke out at Ari’s arm level and plug into the access ports in the wrist and upper arm armor, followed by six more plugging in to the access ports in the back of the legs. The Armor begins to unlock around Ari, allowing the humanoid body within the armor to fall into stasis, while being held up by the armor, That Ari was seemingly unable to leave, but able to comfortably control as they slept in the pod, the Wardrobe locking them in to prevent a security risk, until the pod’s healing process and Ari’s rest was complete.
